Nd:YAG lasers are optically pumped using a flashlamp or laser diodes. They are one of the most common types of laser, and are used for many different applications.
Nd:YAG lasers are used extensively in manufacturing for engraving, etching, or marking a variety of metals and plastics.
SIGNUM lasers use DPSS axial pumping laser sources which deliver high brilliance and 50% optical efficiency. The expected diode life is above 10000 (ten thousands) hours so maintenance interventions are reduced to the lowest degree. Thermoelectric Air/Air cooling means bulky and costly external cooling devices (chillers) are not needed.
All SIGNUM models, even the entry level ones, are equipped with active Q-Switch which optimises the energy for the material being marked.
The very high quality of the laser beam is ideal to produce marking and micro-marking of graphics, barcodes, Data Matrix codes, Trademarks and Logos. Available in 5, 10 and 20 Watts Suregrave will recommend the Wattage following making a feasibility study on your behalf.
Workstations.
When small parts need to be laser marked we recommend a bench-top workstation and for large parts the industrial wide format workstation (shown above). Both workstations can be equipped with functional accessories, like rotary fixtures, rotary table, tag feeders etc.
Integrators can supply customised solutions for applications requiring in-line automatic marking processes, two options are available.
Integration single-block for a compact, all-in-one architecture containing all system components e.g. laser source, scanning head and control/supply electronics. This configuration is ideal for the integrators of laser marking stations into automatic production lines or machines, allowing engineering and installation cost savings.
Integration dual-block with separate marking Head and Power/control box, linked by a simple sheath containing fibre optics and RF cables. This configuration minimises the marking head footprint, as and allows better cooling of the Power/control Box under in case of severe ambient conditions.
