MACHINES > VERSALASER

versa laser versalaser laser engraving etching machineSuregrave offer a range of fast, clean, quite and affordable laser systems from the market leaders; Universal Laser Systems.

Laser machines work by vaporising work surface or material and with a typical beam width of just 0.125mm are capable of producing highly detailed work which would be impossible to create on a conventional engraving machine. Graphics and text can be reproduced at up to 1000 dpi by the raster engraving process, shapes are produced using vector cutting. Jobs can combine both graphics and shape cutting and the print driver automatically distinguishes between both processes.

The printer interface is simple to use and will be familiar to anyone with Windows experience, it is used to select or specify or adjust settings to laser power, speed and PPI (pulse), a CD is provided which on includes settings for many material types; training is provided to familiarise you and the machines are backed up with a two year warranty.

All organic materials can be cut and/or marked, suitable materials include plastics, woods, stone, rubber, paper and card, leather and textiles. Coated, painted and plated metals such as anodised aluminium or "black brass" are also suitable for marking. Bare metals can be marked using a special paste or Universals special High Power Density Focusing Optics: HPDF Optics also achieves dramatically improved resolution for applications requiring extremely fine detail (small font sizes) or photos.

Engravers find the lasers ability to combine engraving and cutting of badges, labels and signs streamlines their production. Lasers also provide the opportunity to manufacture or sell complimentary products such as high value awards, point of sale items, rubber stamps and other products. A laser module is available for SureLab, EngraveLab and SignLab meaning users of these software's can import text lists (such as names) and don't need to retrain.

Sign makers often like the idea of engraving but can't consider a conventional engraver due to the swarf that's produces during the process. A laser changes this as the debris and gasses are removed from the enclosed work area and cleaned/removed in the filtration system. The laser beam produces a polished edge on acrylics that do not need flame polishing or further finishing. A laser module is available for SureLab, EngraveLab and SignLab meaning users of these software's don't need to retrain.

Architects and model makers benefit from the clean and quite operation and compatibility with Windows and Macintosh programs. As a rule of thumb if you can print your designs you can produce a model too.

Promotions and awards companies can make use of SureLab or EngraveLab Laser Pro which will import text files saving valuable set-up time.

Textiles and printing companies can utilise the systems to produce intricate and complex designs in a wide range of materials, card and paper.

The VersaLaser is a desktop Co2 laser system. We provide the VersaLaser with two operational drivers, the standard driver which provides the choice of a material library and automatic operation - simply specify the material and it's thickness and the VersaLaser does the rest, it even automatically sets the surface. The professional driver allows you to specify and make adjustments to the power, speed and pulse of the laser emissions; this allows you to work on materials outside of the standard drivers remit; suggested values are included with our support pack.

Optional accessories include;
Cutting table - for profiling and shape cutting.
Rotary attachment - for marking round objects such as glasses and tankards.
Air assist - for rubber stamp or cutting of flammable materials.
Filtration system.

Where a more industrial and robust solution offering exceptional value is required we also offer the M-300 laser system.
