Our new second generation 4824 has been totally redesigned from the ground up. A new gantry style replaces the old A-frame and coupled with the wireless hand pendant allows much easier access to the work area.
The 4824i has a 1220 x 610 x 100mm ( 48" x 24" x 4") machining area, lockable z-axis and automated tool set-up through the "touch off tool". Like the 2516i, the 4824i is also capable of deep metal engraving and cutting, 3D profiling, tool & die work etc.
Once again the addition of Suregrave's new Hi-Drive electronics from 2004 gives the 4824i a serious edge in large capacity machining with full sheet batch production now easier and quicker than ever.
The machine operates at low noise levels and has an oversized dust extraction facility and optional router motor making it suitable for routing sheet materials.
Where routing is to provide the main use of the machine Suregrave manufacture a professional machine cover & trolley which effectively reduces ambient noise levels. The cover is safety interlocked to ensure health & safety practices are complied with.
