With its solid cast aluminium body, precision ground linear bearings and lockable z-axis the 2516i is completely at home in even the most demanding machine shop.
The machine of choice for many commercial and industrial engravers it is capable of deep engraving and cutting into plastics and metals, 3D profiling, tool & die work etc.
With the addition of Suregrave's new Hi-Drive electronics for 2004 the 2516i has taken a giant leap forward raising the speed of production even higher.
This versatile all-rounder makes light work of all plastics and metals.
The spindle axis can be set to allow the use of a nose cone or locked for absolute depth control - a necessity when working with harder materials like Aluminium and Stainless Steel. Automated tool setting for nose cone or incremental depth cutting is provided by way of the Suregrave "touch off tool".
With 50mm (2") of clearance beneath the spindle the T-slot table can easily accommodate special jigs, vacuum tables and vices.
Specially adapted versions of the 2516i with a raised bridge can be produced for customers needing to engrave outsized objects.
