A Brief History
For those of you unfamiliar with Suregrave and its products, the company began trading as Enpar (North) Ltd in October 1980 with 2 employees. Initially we supplied corrosion resistant metals and other specialist materials.

It was our considerable knowledge of Aluminium and the anodising process that lead us to the engraving industry. The Suregrave brand name was launched, and the company, along with its product range grew steadily to this day.

Now called Suregrave (UK) Limited, the company supplies customers all over the world.

In 1994 Suregrave purchased Dahlgren Control Systems of San Francisco USA, the inventors of the computerised engraving machine.

Previously, Suregrave had distributed Dahlgren machines in the UK. Production was moved to England though the machines continue to be sold in America and indeed worldwide.

From Dahlgren to Suregrave
Quarter of a century ago Dahlgren engraving machines revolutionised the world of rotary engraving with the use of a computer. Suregrave's involvement with Dahlgren machines began in 1988, firstly as UK distributor, then from 1994 onwards as owner and manufacturer.

This year sees the Dahlgren name replaced by Suregrave. Throughout the last decade Suregrave have remained faithful to the traditions of reliability and ease of use which made Dahlgren machines so universally respected.

Drawing on the success of the Dahlgren machine range, Suregrave are proud to present the most advanced and efficient range of computerised engraving machines in the industry!

The new machine range features a machine solution for every application from small, low volume engraving processes to high end commercial, industrial and retail solutions. Never has Suregrave's machine range been so comprehensive.

Suregrave are proud to boast that their product and management support systems, including after sales service, are approved by the above regulatory bodies and that these approvals are regularly audited by those governing bodies.

Philip Barrass, Quality Control Manager, states "We recognised some years ago that it was all too easy for manufacturers to make superficial statements regarding the quality of their products and services. It was then that we decided to engage a proof of statement policy within Suregrave, this means that quality claims can be easily substantiated by our working partnership with the ISO and CE regulatory bodies".
