The Rotation S has been specially designed for retail applications and is the first machine produced by Suregrave with rotary to flat capabilities. It's main feature is the flexibility of a good size flat engraving area combined with a large capacity rotary fixture. The revolutionary work holding device (known as the "Rotation") allows the change from flat to rotary work, and back in seconds.
In its flat mode the "Rotation S" can be switched between tee slot work for large plates, signs and trophies or self-centring vice for giftware and other retail products with a simple selection on the hand held controller. When it's time to Rotate, the spindle unit moves out of the way so the self-locating Rotation S device can be spun around. Engraving on a cylindrical item has never been simpler, just select the Rotary option on the pendant and enter the radius of the work piece. The rotary can be angled to cope with conical shapes or used in self-locating mode for regular cylinders and the flat table raised and lowered for unusual shaped and sized pieces.
This self contained unit allows the retailer to maximise available floor space. Engraving styles include static diamond, burnishing diamond and nosecone engraving. The Rotation S is suitable for marking items made from plastics, brass, glass, precious and non precious metals amongst others.
