Laser technology is ideal for cutting foam, plastics paper and card, the small width of cut allows intricate and detailed designs to be manufactured.

The versatility of a laser engraving machine lends itself to a huge number of packaging and paper blasting applications.

Packaging / Paper Blasting

1. Foam can be cut into intricate shapes to produce inserts for industrial components or tools.

2. Paper and card can be “blasted” to produced custom invitations, place settings or gift boxes.

3. Plain wooden boxes can be laser engraved to make a memorable gift.

4. Packaging mock ups can be rapidly created using printed card and contour cutting and scoring to create fold lines.

Materials
The Co2 laser system will engrave, cut and score almost any organic material and are ideal for processing paper, card, plastic and foam.

Machine
The overall size of the products will dictate the size of laser. A bigger work bed will also allow multiple products to be manufactured at the same time.

A vector cutting table and air assist are required to cut products in the laser. Extraction can be by HEPA filter or the Vent2Air system.

Workshop equipment
High volume production (as opposed to low/mid volumes or proto-typing) may require integration of automatic load/unload.

Software
SureLab PhotoLaser + is recommended though the laser print driver is compatible with most Windows design software’s such as AutoCAD or CorelDraw etc.
