Air Assist
|
The air assist option is manufactured from high grade pipes and fittings. |
|
Air assist is available for all models. |
SureAir Pumps
SureAir Pumps are used to provide a continuous air source to the air assist system. Available in Low Flow or High Flow variants your application will dictate the correct variant.
Low Flow for cutting acrylic and plastics up to 3mm thick.
High Flow for cutting plastics thicker than 3mm and wood.
Air assist for VLS desktop systems.
An air-assist system is always recommended as it suppresses flaming and protects the laser optics and in addition help keep the engraving and cutting materials cleaner.
Co-axial (manual) air assist for VLS/PLS/ILS platform systems
Manual air assist is only available as a factory fitted option so it must be ordered at purchase. Air flow is controlled by a valve at the rear of the machine which features an integral pressure gauge.
An added feature of the co-axial air assist system is it protects the optics. Clean air is pressure fed into the mirror and lens housings which helps keep them clean extending their life. With the manual system the air is on all the time the system is fed.
Co-axial (computer controlled) air assist for VLS/PLS/ILS platform systems
Computer controlled air assist is only available as a factory fitted option so it must be ordered at purchase. Air flow is controlled by the onboard electronics which switch the process on and off with the engraving or cutting cycle of the laser. This has the benefit of reducing the amount of air or gas to only that amount necessary to use whilst the laser is operating.
An added feature of the co-axial air assist system is it protects the optics. Clean air is pressure fed into the mirror and lens housings which helps keep them clean extending their life. With the manual system the air is on all the time the system is fed.
