HEPA Parts
Pre filter (fibre)
Fibre pre filters are cheaper than v pleated filters but much less efficient at filtering particulates, this dramatically reduces HEPA life and as a consequence they are not recommended over V pleated filters.
Pre filter (v pleated)
The HEPA filter is expensive and its life is related to the efficiency of the pre filter. The more particulates captured in the pre filter the less pass through to the HEPA. Most pre filters have an efficiency grading of F5 - F7. When plastics are being laser processed the particulate size is typically 0.2microns and the pre filter has an efficiency of 35% in F5 to 65% in F7. When metals are being processed the particulate is typically below 1micron equating to an efficiency of 65% in F5 to 80% in F7.
The range of AD Advantage range of laser fume purification systems has an F8 grade media which gives an efficiency of 80% at 0.2 microns and 95% at 1micron.
HEPA filters
Manufactured with a durable casing design containing high grade carbon our HEPA filters are a mini pleat design, each filter incorporating webbing between the pleats. This guarantees even spacing for full filter coverage between each pleat and also alleviates the possibility of airflow vibration or collapse.
Filters are certified to a minimum efficiency of 99.997% down to 0.3 microns and 95% as small as 0.1 micron.
